Construction of a pedestrian path in the Tonpoia area (Bermeo)

As part of the programme for the recovery of the Tonpoia coastline, in the northern part of the town of Bermeo, a section of the pedestrian path has been constructed to create a transition between the town and the countryside, in an area of great scenic and environmental value.
The aim of this action is to promote a comprehensive recovery of a currently degraded space located in Bemeo, both from the enviromental and social point of view, through the creation of a peri-urban green infraestructure, for public use, with sustainable criteria and adapted to climate change. The area constitutes a 3km strech of coastline with high enviromental value, belonging to Natura 2000 network and is classified as a core area within the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
This initiative is part of action C.4.2: Key green infrastructure for improving urban-rural connection and the resilience of the territory.
