Action A.1:
Review of the KLIMA 2050 strategy from a continuous improvement approach

The climate-change context is changing and requires continued updating of objectives. Within the framework of the Urban Klima 2050 project, we have reviewed the objectives, goals and lines of action of the KLIMA 2050 Strategy, as well as its socio-economic impact.

GHG emissions have a global impact and minimising them is a priority. The Klima 2050 Strategy includes a roadmap aimed at neutrality, by reducing consumption and increasing the proportion of renewable energies.

Adaptation must be carried out in each territory, which is why it is essential to know the magnitude of the climate challenge. Heat waves, floods and drought are the main climate risks that will affect the Basque Country in the period 2011-2040.
