Tecnun and Urban Klima 2050 launch Tecklima 2050, a photography competition to raise awareness of the effects of climate change

14/10/2021

Urban Klima 2050 engages with the university community with the launch of the Tecklima 2050 photography competition organised together with Tecnun, the School of Engineering of the University of Navarra. With the aim of making the effects of climate change in the Basque Country visible and inviting people to reflect on them, the two organisations are encouraging citizens, and especially young people, to participate by sharing photographs that depict this issue.

The competition, which is part of the university's “Tecnun Sustainable Campus” initiative, will take place on Instagram. Participants will be able to publish photographs conveying issues ranging from environmental to social aspects, relating to changes in infrastructures, cities, consumption habits, cultural aspects, health, etc.

To do so, you may only upload one photo per post and you must follow and mention the @TecKlima2050 profile. You must also add the hashtags specified in the terms and conditions and accompany the post with a short description of the image shared.

Those who wish to participate can do so until 31 December (including the 31st) and will be eligible to win a range of prizes thanks to the support of sponsors such as Arbaso, Ekomodo, Kafea, Nekatur and Donostia San Sebastian Turismoa. The winning photographs and prizes will be announced on 19 January, also via social media, and the winners will be notified via a private message on Instagram.
